President Masoud Barzani has extended his congratulations to young Kurdish athlete Namou Fazil following his recent achievement in a Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) championship held in the United States.

In a message posted on the social media platform X, Barzani praised Fazil as a “young hero and capable Kurd,” highlighting his performance in the competition as a source of pride for Kurds and the Kurdistan Region.

Barzani expressed his appreciation for the athlete’s accomplishment, stating that it represents pride for all Kurds and Kurdistan, and wished him continued success and further progress in his sporting career.

Namou Fazil, an emerging competitor in MMA, recently gained attention after his participation and performance in the championship, which has been widely shared and welcomed within Kurdish social media circles.
