Bulgaria Wins Eurovision 2026 with Dara’s “Bangaranga”

Bulgaria celebrated a historic victory on Saturday night after winning the 70th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, Austria.

Bulgarian pop star Dara secured the country’s first-ever Eurovision title with her energetic performance of “Bangaranga,” a high-tempo pop anthem featuring vibrant choreography and powerful vocals.

The performance impressed both professional juries and television audiences across Europe and beyond, earning Bulgaria the highest combined score of the night.

Eurovision organizers described Dara as “one of the most well-known pop musicians” in Bulgaria, praising her distinctive musical style, strong stage presence and genre-blending approach to pop music.

Dara defeated 24 other finalists during the grand final held in Vienna. Israel finished in second place, while Romania came third. Australia and Italy completed the top five.

Among the strongest contenders before the final were Finland’s duo Linda Lampenius and Pete Parkkonen with their song “Liekinheitin” (“Flamethrower”), as well as Australian singer Delta Goodrem with her track “Eclipse.”

The 2026 Eurovision final featured spectacular stage productions, colorful costumes and upbeat performances, continuing the contest’s long tradition as one of the world’s largest live music events.

This year’s competition attracted millions of viewers worldwide and marked a milestone moment for Bulgaria, whose long-awaited victory sparked celebrations among fans and music lovers across the country.
