On the occasion of Kurdish Journalism Day and the 128th anniversary of the publication of the first issue of the newspaper Kurdistan newspaper, founded by Prince Miqdad Midhat Bedirkhan, president Masoud Barzani extended his congratulations to journalists and media professionals across the Kurdistan Region.

In a message issued on Tuesday, Barzani congratulated all journalists and media workers in Kurdistan and also extended his greetings to members of the Kurdistan Journalists Syndicate on the anniversary of the organization’s establishment, which coincides with the day.

Barzani expressed his sincere wishes for success and progress for journalists and media professionals, emphasizing their important role in defending the just cause of the Kurdish people and strengthening the culture of peace and coexistence in society.

He also reaffirmed his support for journalists in performing their professional duties and contributing to the preservation of the noble values of Kurdistan’s society.
