President Masoud Barzani on Saturday praised the large gathering of Kurds in the German city of Bonn, describing it as a powerful message of unity and national identity during the celebrations of Nowruz.

In a message published on the social media platform X (Twitter) on March 21, President Barzani referred to the massive turnout of Kurdish participants in Bonn who gathered to celebrate Nowruz, the traditional Kurdish new year and national festival.

President Barzani stated that “the great gathering of Kurds in the German city of Bonn to celebrate Nowruz, the national holiday, is a clear message to all those concerned.”

Nowruz, widely celebrated by Kurds across the Middle East and the diaspora, symbolizes renewal, freedom, and cultural identity. Events marking the festival often include cultural performances, traditional music, and public gatherings.

The celebration in Bonn attracted a large number of Kurdish participants from across Europe, reflecting the continued engagement of the Kurdish diaspora with their cultural traditions and political aspirations.
