Erbil, Kurdistan Region – President Nechirvan Barzani has welcomed the recent report issued by the National Solidarity, Brotherhood and Democracy Committee in the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, describing it as a “meaningful step forward” on the path toward peace and resolution.

In a statement released by the Presidency of the Kurdistan Region, Barzani emphasized that advancing the language of politics and dialogue, alongside a firm commitment to peaceful solutions, represents a foundational principle for achieving lasting stability across the region.

“The language of politics, dialogue, and commitment to peaceful solutions are essential foundations for building the enduring stability that our entire region deserves,” he stated.

President Barzani reaffirmed that the Kurdistan Region has consistently supported efforts aimed at resolving outstanding issues through peaceful means. He noted that the Kurdistan Region remains ready to cooperate with any initiative that seeks to open “a new chapter of brotherhood and coexistence.”

He further expressed hope that additional steps would follow within the Turkish parliament to deepen mutual trust and move closer to a sustainable peace — one long awaited by the peoples of the region.
