PM Barzani message on anniversary of genocide of Barzanis (video)
The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) on Saturday remembered the victims of the 1983’s genocidal attack by the Baath regime against the Barzanis.
"Today is the 37th anniversary of the Barzani genocide, part of a campaign of terror by the Ba'ath regime to erase the Kurdish identity. Thousands of men & boys were rounded up & massacred, including members of my family. Many were buried alive. We will never forget them," Barzani wrote on his Twitter account.
