Second in a Week: Kurdish Porter Killed by Iranian Border Guards
ERBIL — Iranian forces on the northwestern borders killed another Kurdish porter on Sunday near the city of Khoy, Western Azarbaijan province.

Hangaw Organization for Human Rights reported that the victim was killed after the Iranian border guards opened fire at a group of porters.

The man was identified as Bahman Roshani, 24, from Aland district of Khoy.

Roshani was the second Kurdish porter killed on the border within a week.

Last Wednesday, Iranian forces killed another porter in a similar open fire.

According to Hangaw records, a total of 75 porters from Iranian Kurdistan have been killed between 20 March 2018 and 20 March 2019.

Another 180 porters were injured within the same period.
