ERBIL - A US military convoy entered a Kurdish town on Turkey-Syria border on Thursday, while President Donald Trump has already announced the withdrawal of the US troops from Syria.

The US forces reportedly entered the Syrian Kurdish town of Tirbaspi near the Turkish border.

The military movement comes while clashes are ongoing between the Turkey-backed islamist rebels and the Syrian regime forces in the border areas despite a ceasefire between Ankara and Moscow in this regard.

Turkey began an offensive against the Kurdish forces in northeastern Syria earlier on October 9, when the US forces started to withdraw from the Middle Eastern country.
