ERBIL — Delegations from the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) are set to meet on Monday.

According to deputy head of PUK’s Erbil office, they will discuss bilateral relations as well as political challenges in Kurdistan and Iraq.

The meeting comes after a PUK politburo member was prevented from entering Erbil last week, which was followed of shootings around the KDP branch office in Sulaymaniyah.

KRG’s ministry of interior said stopping PUK politburo member at Smaqoli checkpoint was not acceptable, and that they have launched an investigation.
