ERBIL — The Kurdistan Regional Government is planning to send a delegation to Baghdad in the next few days to discuss Erbil’s share form the 2020 annual budget with Iraqi counterparts, a Kurdish lawmaker confirmed.

The new KRG cabinet has formed several specialize joint committees with the federal government of Iraq to address disputes on financial dues, with the focus remaining on oil revenues and the salaries of people on KRG payroll.

MP Jalal Mohammad Amin said the KRG delegation is made up of finance experts.

He hoped the talks will help improving financial situation of the Kurdistan Region to address the deficiencies in public sector’s salary payments.
