ERBIL — Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani held the first meeting with the ministers from his new cabinet on Monday.

It came days after Barzani was elected by the parliament as the new prime minister of Kurdistan Region, and his cabinet was approved by a parliamentary vote.

The new ministers are expected to take office officially after the legal procedures within the next few days.

There are 19 ministers in the new cabinet with three additional ones equal to a ministerial position, called Ministers of State.
