Kirkuk: Arabs Form Higher Coordination Body
ERBIL - Arabs in the disputed province of Kirkuk have formed a Higher Coordination Body which represents all Arab political parties and entities in the city, an official confirmed on Saturday.

Talking at a press conference, the leader of the Arab League, Khalid Daham, said that the body's aim is to work on unifying "different perspectives from distinct sides in the fields of security, service and electoral issues and dialogue with the forces and other political components."

Although there is a diverse population in Kirkuk, Kurds are the biggest ethnic component in the province.

Kirkuk is a disputed city between the Kurdistan Region and Iraq. However, the Iraqi army and pro-Iranian Hashd al-Shaabi militias entered the disputed territories in a military incursion in October 2017.
