Iraq, Russia Ink Several Agreements in Various Fields
A total of 16 agreements in the fields of industry, information technology, transportation, energy, electricity, trade, and tourism were signed by Iraqi Foreign Minister Mohammed Ali al-Hakim and Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov in Baghdad, according a statement by Hakim's office, as cited by Xinhua.
Apart from developing and strengthening the joint cooperation in different areas, they also agreed to take all the measures to remove obstacles that hamper the trade and investment exchange between the two countries," the statement added, according to the report.
"The meeting resulted in the signing of a number of agreements and MoUs in various fields, including trade, finance and banking as well as education."
