Iraqi Parliament elects Barham Salih as country's new president
After a majority vote in Tuesday’s session, the Iraqi Parliament elected the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan’s (PUK) candidate, Salih, as the country’s new president.
Salih is Iraq’s eighth president.
