Kurdistan Leaders Mourn Passing of Norway’s King Harald V
Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani and Prime Minister Masrour Barzani have expressed their condolences following the death of Norway’s King Harald V, paying tribute to the monarch and extending sympathies to the Norwegian Royal Family and people.
In a message posted on X, Nechirvan Barzani said he was “deeply saddened” by the passing of King Harald, describing him as a “respected and devoted monarch” who served Norway with “dignity, wisdom and humility” for more than three decades.
Barzani extended his heartfelt condolences to the Royal Family and the people of Norway, describing the monarch’s death as a “great loss.”
Prime Minister Masrour Barzani also expressed his sadness over the King’s passing. In his message on X, he extended his heartfelt condolences to the Royal Family and the Norwegian people during what he described as a time of “profound loss.”
He added that King Harald’s memory and legacy would continue to endure.
The messages from the two Kurdistan Region leaders reflected their respect for the Norwegian monarch and their solidarity with the people of Norway following his death.
