Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani has extended his warmest congratulations to President Masoud Barzani on receiving the prestigious Order of Pope Pius IX, describing the honor as a recognition of his distinguished role in protecting the rights of communities in Kurdistan and Iraq.

In a statement, Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani said the awarding of the decoration to President Masoud Barzani reflects his longstanding efforts in defending the rights, dignity, and interests of the diverse communities living across the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.

He described the honor as a source of pride for the Kurdistan Region and as recognition of its culture of coexistence, mutual acceptance, and humanitarian values.

He emphasized that the people of the Kurdistan Region have always upheld these principles and remained committed to preserving them.
