Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani received Dr. Ali Shamran, Iraq’s newly appointed Ambassador to Spain, during a meeting focused on strengthening relations between Iraq, the Kurdistan Region, and Spain.

President Barzani congratulated Shamran on his appointment and wished him success in his new diplomatic post. He stressed the importance of developing closer relations between Spain and Iraq, as well as between Spain and the Kurdistan Region, in a way that serves the interests of all sides.
