Trump Says No Rush for Iran Deal as Negotiations Continue Amid Remaining Disputes
US President Donald Trump said negotiations with Iran are proceeding in “an orderly and constructive manner,” stressing that there is no rush to finalize a new agreement as diplomatic efforts continue.
Speaking on the ongoing talks, Trump indicated that discussions between Washington and Tehran were making progress, while emphasizing that any potential agreement must fully address international concerns regarding Iran’s nuclear program.
Iranian officials, however, said that significant differences remain unresolved, noting that negotiators still need to settle several key issues before a final deal can be reached.
Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Trump had agreed that the Iranian nuclear threat “must be removed entirely,” underlining Israel’s long-standing position against any deal that would allow Tehran to maintain nuclear capabilities.
In Europe, Ursula von der Leyen welcomed what she described as “progress towards an agreement,” expressing hope that continued diplomacy could help ease tensions and strengthen regional stability.
