Nechirvan Barzani yesterday received Salahaddin Mohammed Bahaaddin for talks focusing on the political situation in both Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.

During the meeting, the two sides stressed the urgent need to resolve the ongoing political impasse that has affected the political process in the Kurdistan Region. They emphasized the importance of dialogue and collective efforts among political parties to protect the broader interests of the region.

President Barzani voiced his support for the initiatives put forward by the Secretary General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union aimed at helping overcome the political deadlock. He underlined the importance of continuing efforts that serve the interests and stability of the Kurdistan Region, noting that such responsibility falls on all political parties.

In turn, Salahaddin Mohammed Bahaaddin expressed his appreciation for President Barzani’s support for his initiatives and efforts toward political understanding and consensus.
