IRGC Warns Renewed Attacks on Iran Could Spark Wider Global Conflict
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) warned on Wednesday that any new military attack against Iran would trigger a broader conflict extending beyond the Middle East, amid ongoing tensions with the United States and Israel.
In an official statement, the IRGC said Washington and Tel Aviv had “failed to learn from their previous defeats against the Islamic Revolution” and accused both countries of continuing to threaten Iran despite recent confrontations.
“Those who attacked us with the full capabilities of the world’s two most expensive armies should know that we have not yet used all of our capabilities against them,” the statement said.
The IRGC further warned that if attacks on Iran were repeated, Tehran would widen the scope of the conflict and respond “in places they never imagined,” adding that its enemies would ultimately face defeat.
The force also dismissed what it described as “empty statements and social media rhetoric,” insisting that Iran demonstrates its strength “on the battlefield, not through meaningless declarations.”
The remarks come months after a major escalation involving Iran, the United States, and Israel. On February 28, the US, in coordination with Israel, launched a military campaign against Iran following months of rising tensions over Tehran’s nuclear program, regional influence, and attacks carried out by Iran-backed groups across the Middle East.
The conflict reportedly killed several senior Iranian military commanders and officials. According to figures released by Tehran, more than 3,000 people died during the fighting.
Iran later responded with missile and drone strikes targeting US and Israeli positions, causing casualties on multiple sides and raising fears of a wider regional war.
