Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Condemns Violence After Reported Shooting Incident at White House Correspondents’ Dinner
The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, Masrour Barzani, has expressed deep concern following reports of a shooting incident at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington, D.C.
In a statement posted on the social media platform X, Barzani said he was relieved that Donald Trump, the First Lady, the Vice President, members of the Cabinet, journalists, and attending guests were all unharmed.
“I am deeply concerned by the shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington and relieved that President Trump, the First Lady, the Vice President and members of the Cabinet, journalists, and guests are unharmed,” Barzani stated.
He strongly condemned the use of violence in public life, emphasizing that such acts have no place in democratic societies.
