Kurdistan Region’s Largest Cancer Hospital to Be Built in Erbil
The first and largest specialised cancer hospital in the Kurdistan Region, and across Iraq, is being established in Erbil.
The project will be built on an area of 30,000 square metres. It will consist of five floors, feature 200 beds, and be equipped with the latest and most advanced medical devices to ensure all patient needs are met within the facility.
The project has an estimated cost of approximately IQD 165 billion and is being constructed using a local workforce. Currently, 100 workers and several engineers are working continuously on-site each day.
The construction of this hospital represents a vital step by the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) towards advancing the region’s healthcare infrastructure.
