On the occasion of Kurdish Journalism Day and the publication of the first issue of Kurdistan newspaper by Mir Miqdad Madhat Badirkhan, which is also the anniversary of the establishment of the Kurdistan Journalists Syndicate, I congratulate all journalists in Kurdistan and thank them for their work.

The Kurdistan Regional Government is committed to defending the freedom of the press and journalism and providing necessary facilities to journalists. We hope that journalists will perform their duties professionally and responsibly, taking into account international journalism laws, ethics and standards, and celebrate the culture of peaceful coexistence and the constitutional status of the Kurdistan Region.
