Prime Minister Masrour Barzani has strongly condemned a drone attack that targeted the residence of a Peshmerga family in Erbil, which resulted in the martyrdom of a Peshmerga member and his wife.

In a statement released following the incident, Barzani said he was deeply saddened by the news of the attack and described the act as a heinous crime. He firmly denounced those responsible for carrying out the strike.

“The targeting of civilians and civilian homes is a war crime,” the prime minister stated, emphasizing that such actions violate fundamental humanitarian principles.

Barzani also stressed that the government would work to bring the issue to the attention of the international community. He said the Kurdistan Regional Government would convey the voices of the victims in order to help end what he described as oppression and unjustified attacks against the people of the Kurdistan Region.
