Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, held a telephone conversation with Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, to discuss recent developments in the Kurdistan Region, Qatar, and the wider region. 

During the call, both leaders strongly condemned the recent terrorist attacks targeting the Kurdistan Region and Qatar, expressing deep concern over escalating tensions and instability in the region.

They also agreed that outlaw militias pose a serious threat to regional security and stressed that the Government of Iraq must take decisive steps to bring such armed groups under control.

Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and stability while taking the growing threats to the region seriously.

Prime Minister Masrour Barzani reaffirmed the Kurdistan Region’s solidarity with the people of Qatar and highlighted the need for continued cooperation.

Both sides agreed on the importance of sustained communication and coordination to overcome current challenges and promote stability across the region.
