Education to Continue Online Across the Kurdistan Region
Following a joint meeting of the relevant ministries on 29 March 2026, the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has decided to suspend in-person classroom instruction across all educational institutions in the Kurdistan Region, at all levels, under the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, until further notice.
Education will continue exclusively through online and digital platforms.
The Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research have been directed to take all necessary measures to implement this decision effectively and to facilitate the transition to online and digital learning.
