Masoud Barzani, leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, extended his congratulations to Muslims in Kurdistan, Iraq, and around the world on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.

In a message issued on Thursday, Barzani also conveyed his greetings to the families of the martyrs, the Peshmerga forces, and all citizens of Kurdistan, wishing them a blessed and joyful Eid.

Barzani expressed his hopes for continued prosperity, happiness, and dignity for the people of Kurdistan. He also prayed that God would accept the fasting, prayers, and good deeds of Muslims during the holy month of Ramadan.

The Kurdish leader further expressed hope that the occasion of Eid would mark a step toward achieving peace and stability in the region and across the world.

The message was dated 30 Ramadan 1447 AH, corresponding to March 19, 2026.
