Eid al-Fitr Greetings from president Nechirvan Barzani Emphasize Unity and Responsibility
Nechirvan Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Region, extended his heartfelt congratulations to Muslims in Kurdistan, Iraq, and across the world on the occasion of Eid al‑Fitr.
In a message marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan, the president paid special tribute to the families of the martyrs, expressing hope that the holiday would bring peace, comfort, and happiness to all. He stressed that Eid represents values of tolerance, freedom, and reconciliation, calling on society to embrace these meanings as an opportunity to strengthen unity and solidarity.
Barzani noted that the region is passing through a sensitive period marked by political and security challenges. He urged all sides to act with a strong sense of historical and national responsibility to protect the Kurdistan Region and confront the threats facing it.
The president also expressed optimism about the future, stating that the people of Kurdistan have the resilience and determination needed to overcome current difficulties through unity and cooperation.
