Readout of Prime Minister Masrour Barzani's call with King Abdullah II
Prime Minister Masrour Barzani spoke by telephone today with His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan.
They exchanged views on the security challenges and attacks on Kurdistan Region and Jordan.
During the call, they also discussed the impact of the economic crisis on Iraq and the wider regional as a whole. In that regard, the Prime Minister Barzani noted that, as a step to help ease the economic burden, the KRG has allowed oil exports through the Kurdistan Region’s pipeline to Ceyhan.
Both sides reaffirmed the already strong relationship between the Kurdistan Region and Jordan.
