President Barzani Welcomes Syria–SDF Agreement, Calls for Peace and Stability
Kurdish leader Masoud Barzani has welcomed the agreement reached between the Syrian government and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), expressing hope that the deal will be lasting and successful.
In a statement issued on Thursday, Barzani congratulated both parties on concluding the agreement and reaffirmed his belief that dialogue and peaceful engagement remain the most effective means of resolving disputes and addressing political challenges.
Barzani also voiced optimism that the agreement would mark an end to the suffering endured by the Kurdish people in Syria. He expressed hope that a new chapter would begin, one characterized by peace, freedom, and stability for all communities across the country.
