Erbil, Kurdistan Region – Prime Minister Masrour Barzani of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) received and congratulated Kurdish boxing champion Badin Idris Haso on Wednesday, following his historic gold medal victory at the Asian Continental Boxing Championship in Albania.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Barzani extended his heartfelt congratulations to Haso for his outstanding achievement in securing first place at the continental tournament. The Prime Minister praised the champion’s dedication and skill, which have brought pride to the people of the Kurdistan Region.

Barzani reiterated the KRG’s ongoing commitment to supporting sports and athletes, emphasizing the importance of providing encouragement and resources to help Kurdish talents excel on international stages.

In response, Badin Haso expressed his sincere gratitude for the Prime Minister’s reception and for the government’s steadfast support, acknowledging its role in motivating athletes to pursue excellence.
