President Barzani Visits Several Historic and Cultural Sites in Cizre Botan
As part of his visit to Cizre Botan on Saturday, President Masoud Barzani toured several significant religious, cultural, and historical sites throughout the city.
President Barzani began his visit at the sacred shrine of Hazrat Nuh (Peace Be Upon Him), a landmark of deep spiritual significance in the region. He then visited the shrine of Mala Jaziri, the celebrated Kurdish poet and Sufi scholar, followed by a stop at the Mam and Zin mausoleum, an important cultural symbol rooted in Kurdish literary heritage.
Continuing his tour, President Barzani paid his respects at the tomb of Sharafeddin Elçi, the prominent Kurdish politician from Turkey known for his lifelong advocacy of Kurdish rights and identity.
The President also visited the Sur School in Cizre Botan, where he reviewed the historic institution and its role in the region’s educational and cultural development.
