President Masoud Barzani received a high-level delegation from Türkiye’s Şırnak Province, headed by Mr. Bırol Ekici, the Governor of Şırnak.

During the meeting, Governor Ekici expressed his deep appreciation for President Barzani’s significant role in supporting and advancing the peace process in Türkiye. He highlighted the positive developments achieved during that period and called on President Barzani to continue his valuable support for efforts aimed at reaching a lasting and peaceful resolution.

The discussions also touched upon the importance of strengthening cultural, economic, and trade relations between Şırnak Province and the Kurdistan Region—particularly with Erbil Province. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing mutual cooperation and fostering closer ties for the benefit of the people in both regions.
