President Nechirvan Barzani Pays Tribute on 64th Anniversary of September Revolution
President Nechirvan Barzani today commemorated the 64th anniversary of the September Revolution, honoring the late leader Barzani, the heroic Peshmerga, and all who sacrificed for Kurdistan’s freedom. He also paid tribute to the martyrs and their families for their unwavering dedication.
In his statement, President Barzani highlighted the revolution’s historic significance, noting that it emerged during a period of intense oppression and denial for the Kurdish people. “The September Revolution became the foundation of our national identity and inspired a renewed spirit among Kurds to rise, resist, and unite,” he said.
The President emphasized that the revolution’s principles—freedom, democracy, unity, tolerance, and peace—remain as relevant today as they were 64 years ago. He urged all Kurds to protect their rights and achievements, stating that the spirit of unity that defined the revolution must continue to guide the region’s present and future.
“Glory and honor to the memory of the September Revolution, and greetings and peace to the pure souls of the martyrs,” President Barzani concluded.
