Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Meets Qatari Consul General to Mark End of Diplomatic Mission
Erbil, Kurdistan Region – Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani met with Qatar’s Consul General, Hussein bin Ali Al-Fadhala, on Monday to mark the conclusion of the diplomat’s mission in the region.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Barzani emphasized the significance of strengthening bilateral relations between the Kurdistan Region and Qatar. He commended Al-Fadhala’s efforts in fostering closer ties and wished him success in his future assignments.
“We appreciate the Consul General’s contributions to enhancing cooperation between the Kurdistan Region and Qatar,” Barzani said. “We look forward to further expanding our partnership in various fields.”
Al-Fadhala expressed his gratitude to the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) for its support during his tenure and reiterated Qatar’s commitment to deepening relations with the region. He also praised the KRG’s initiatives in public service, particularly ongoing projects aimed at providing 24-hour access to water and electricity.
“The progress in infrastructure and public services in the Kurdistan Region is commendable,” Al-Fadhala said. “Qatar remains dedicated to strengthening its partnership with the KRG in areas of mutual interest.”
