Kurdistan Region President Extends New Year Greetings on Islamic New Year
Erbil, Kurdistan Region – On the occasion of the first day of Muharram and the Islamic New Year, Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani congratulated Muslims in Kurdistan, Iraq, and around the world, expressing his hopes for a year filled with peace, prosperity, and happiness.
In his message, President Barzani emphasized Kurdistan’s enduring commitment to pluralism, peaceful coexistence, and tolerance among all religious and ethnic communities. He highlighted the collective responsibility to work toward a brighter future for the people of Kurdistan.
"We reaffirm that Kurdistan will always remain a nation of diversity, acceptance, and harmony," Barzani stated. "It is our duty to unite for a better present and future for all citizens."
