Iraq Added to Sweden’s Prestigious SI Scholarship Program, Opening Doors for Iraqi Students
In a landmark decision, the Swedish Institute has officially included Iraq in its list of eligible countries for the SI Scholarship for Global Professionals, offering Iraqi students the chance to pursue fully funded Master’s degrees at Sweden’s top universities. The announcement was confirmed by the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Sweden.
Dr. Mohammed Adnan, Iraq’s Chargé d’Affaires in Sweden, hailed the move as a significant achievement resulting from persistent diplomatic efforts by the Iraqi Foreign Ministry and the embassy to strengthen bilateral ties in education and culture.
“This decision reflects Sweden’s commitment to fostering global academic exchange and provides an exceptional opportunity for Iraqi students to access world-class education,” Dr. Adnan told SWED 24. He encouraged qualified candidates to apply, emphasizing the high academic standards and innovative research environment at Swedish universities.
