Kurdistan Regional Government Cabinet Meets to Discuss Outcomes of High-Level U.S. Visit
Erbil, Kurdistan Region – The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Council of Ministers convened today, Wednesday, under the leadership of Prime Minister Masrour Barzani to review the results of the recent high-level delegation visit to Washington, D.C.
The delegation, headed by Prime Minister Barzani, visited the U.S. capital from May 18 to 23, 2025, engaging in key diplomatic talks with American officials. During today’s cabinet meeting, Barzani and accompanying delegation members presented a detailed report on the discussions held in Washington, including topics such as bilateral relations, security cooperation, and economic partnerships.
While specific details of the meetings have not yet been disclosed, sources indicate that the talks focused on strengthening ties between the Kurdistan Region and the United States, particularly in areas of mutual interest such as counterterrorism, energy, and investment.
