KRG Prime Minister Highlights Landmark Energy Deals and U.S. Partnership in Push for Prosperity

Erbil, Kurdistan Region – In a statement this week, Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister Masrour Barzani emphasized significant progress in energy agreements, strengthened commercial ties with the United States, and efforts to bring prosperity to the people of Kurdistan and all of Iraq.

Prime Minister Barzani underscored the deepening partnership between the Kurdistan Region and the U.S., stating, "We’re adding another layer to our deep partnership with the United States," signaling further collaboration in energy, trade, and economic development.

The remarks come amid ongoing negotiations to finalize major energy deals aimed at boosting Kurdistan’s oil and gas sector, a key driver of the regional economy. The KRG has been working closely with international partners, including American firms, to modernize infrastructure and expand energy exports.

Additionally, Barzani highlighted the importance of U.S.-Kurdistan relations in fostering stability and economic growth, noting that strengthened commerce between the two partners will create jobs and opportunities for Iraqis and Kurds alike.

The KRG continues to pursue reforms to attract foreign investment, improve public services, and ensure long-term prosperity for the region. Analysts view these developments as critical steps toward greater energy independence and economic integration within Iraq and global markets.
