Masrour Barzani Congratulates Kurdistan Democratic Students and Youth Union on Successful Unification Congress
Erbil, Kurdistan Region – In a formal message, Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister Masrour Barzani extended his congratulations to the Kurdistan Democratic Students and Youth Union (KDSYU) on the successful conclusion of its Unification Congress and the election of its new leadership.
Barzani praised the union’s historic role in advocating for students' and youth rights and its contributions to the national struggle of the Kurdish people. He expressed hope that the newly elected Secretariat would adopt progressive and innovative approaches to further empower young people in the Kurdistan Region.
"The Kurdistan Democratic Students and Youth Union has a proud legacy of organizational struggle and dedication to the rights and aspirations of students and youth, as well as the broader national cause," Barzani stated.
He urged the union to continue supporting constitutional institutions in the Kurdistan Region and to work toward advancing the capabilities of Kurdish youth through knowledge and creativity.
The Prime Minister reaffirmed his full support for the KDSYU’s mission and congratulated its members on the success of the Unification Congress.
The KDSYU, affiliated with the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), plays a key role in mobilizing students and young activists, focusing on educational, social, and national issues. The Unification Congress marked a significant step in consolidating its structure and expanding its outreach.
