Erbil, Kurdistan Region – On the occasion of International Labor Day, the President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, extended his heartfelt congratulations to workers across Kurdistan, Iraq, and the world, praising their vital role in the progress and development of the nation.

In his message, President Barzani commended the dedication of workers and their organizations, emphasizing their crucial contributions to the country’s advancement. He reaffirmed the Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) commitment to protecting workers' rights and supporting their legitimate demands.

"We advocate for a peaceful working environment, fair employment opportunities, and regulated employer-worker relationships that safeguard the dignity of all laborers," President Barzani stated.

The President also paid tribute to workers who lost their lives while on duty, offering his deepest condolences to their families. He urged relevant authorities to ensure that the families of deceased workers receive necessary support and assistance.
