Prime Minister Masrour Barzani received Ahmed Safadi, Speaker of the House of Representatives of Jordan.

Mr. Safadi expressed his pleasure at visiting the Kurdistan Region and praised its development and prosperity. He highlighted the strong and historic ties between Jordan and the Kurdistan Region, and reaffirmed Jordan’s readiness to further strengthen bilateral relations across various sectors.

Prime Minister Barzani emphasized the importance of deepening the longstanding friendship between the Kurdistan Region and Jordan. He reiterated the KRG’s appreciation for the continued support of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and King Abdullah II.

They also discussed the KRG’s reform agenda in the energy, financial, and digitalization sectors, as well as the situation in the region and the importance of safeguarding security and stability.
