President Barzani Praises Kurdish Participation in Cologne’s Nowruz Celebration
President Masoud Barzani has expressed his appreciation for the large-scale participation of Kurdish citizens in the Nowruz celebrations held in Cologne, Germany. In an official statement, Barzani described the enthusiastic turnout as a testament to the strength and vitality of Kurdish communities abroad, emphasizing their unwavering support for the Kurdish cause on the international stage.
"The participation of such a significant number of Kurdistanis and supporters of the Kurdish national movement clearly demonstrates the power and readiness of our people outside the homeland to advocate for Kurdistan’s legitimate cause in global forums," Barzani stated.
Despite attempts by what he called "untrustworthy hands" to incite chaos and distort the event’s message, Barzani commended the attendees for upholding the true spirit of Nowruz. He noted that efforts to misrepresent the gathering had failed, and the celebration ultimately reinforced Kurdish unity and national identity.
"I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the dedicated participants who, with great enthusiasm and a deep sense of patriotism, conveyed the message of peace that defines our people. Their participation in this grand event is a reflection of their unwavering commitment to Kurdistan," he added.
President Barzani concluded by saluting all Kurdish freedom fighters and defenders of the Kurdish cause worldwide, wishing the community continued joy and success in their celebrations.
