power transmission line stopped in Nineveh due to sabotage act
On Sunday, the Iraqi authorities announced the suspension of one of the vital lines for transmitting electric power in Nineveh Governorate, after it was exposed to an act of sabotage.
The General Company for Northern Electricity Transmission added in a statement reported by Alsumaria News that the line east of Mosul was stopped at dawn on Sunday as a result of being exposed to an explosive device detonation.
It is noteworthy that the Iraqi Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, assigned the army forces to protect the electric power transmission lines, after they were exposed to a series of attacks that led to power outages in these and neighboring provinces.
