The United States is ready to implement several electricity projects in Kurdistan
The United States has indicated its readiness to implement several important electricity projects through debt within the Kurdistan Region.
After meeting with Lisa Budenley, Consul General of the United States in Erbil at the US Consulate General in Erbil, the Minister of Electricity, Kamal Mohammad, stated that she had reaffirmed her country's support for the government and people of Kurdistan, in terms of implementing a number of important electricity projects through the Kurdistan Region.
The Minister of Electricity explained that the Ministry will also provide all facilities to US companies for the success of these projects, including several 400kv power stations and electricity generation projects by utilizing gas fields in several oilfields, and also to build a gas pipeline to 1000 MW power plant in Duhok governorate.
