KRG to Review Measures against Virus Outbreak
ERBIL — The Kurdistan Regional Government will review the measures it has introduced to curb the spread of the new coronavirus.

BasNews has learned that Interior Minister Rebar Ahmad and Health Minister Saman Barzanji will host governors of Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, Duhok, and Halabja on Tuesday to discuss the issue.

They are expected to also make decision on whether to extend or lift a travel ban between provinces of Kurdistan Region.

Kurdistan Region has so far recorded 11,109 cases of COVID-19, with 419 deaths. Fearing a further spread of the virus, the KRG has introduces measures across the region, including border closure, shutting down mosques and other religious locations, and travel ban between provinces.
