Coronavirus: Sulaymaniyah Eases some Restrictions
ERBIL — Sulaymaniyah Coronavirus Task Force has introduced some relaxations to the restrictions they had previously imposed to combat the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

Signed by Governor Haval Abubakir, the Task Force issued a directive saying that government institutions will resume operation on Sunday, 12 July.

It explained that all government offices should strictly abide by the health guidelines during working hours, one of which is wearing masks.

The governor has also opened downtown Sulaymaniyah to vehicle movements.

Sulaymaniyah is the worst-hit province of Kurdistan Region with the largest number of infections.

It has recorded 5,929 COVID-19 cases as of 9th July. The pandemic has claimed 236 lives in Sulaymaniyah alone.
