COVID-19: Kirkuk Announces Full Lockdown
ERBIL - Authorities in the disputed Kurdish province of Kirkuk on Sunday announced a full lockdown to be imposed for six days to contain the spread of the coronavirus.

Speaking to Kurdistan 24, Diler Shwani, a member of Kirkuk's Crisis Cell, pointed out that the new lockdown will go into effect on Tuesday, June 30 and that it would continue until next Sunday.

During the total curfew, Shwani noted, all of the inside as well as outside gates of the province.

"Operations at the public offices will be normal tomorrow [Monday], but the operations will be suspended from Tuesday and the complete lockdown will begin," he concluded.
