KRG Records 206 COVID-19 Cases in 24 Hours, Total Spikes to 2,307
ERBIL - The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has registered 206 new infections of COVID-19 over the past 24 hours, a statement said on Sunday evening.

With the new reports, the total number of people so far found infected with the coronavirus in the Kurdistan Region has reached 2,307, the health ministry explained.

At least 163 cases were confirmed in Sulaimaniya province where three patients also lost their lives due to the coronavirus, the ministry said.

In the meantime, 37 infections as well two deaths were recorded in the capital Erbil while six other cases were detected in Halabja province.

According to the latest updates by the ministry, at least 1,016 patients have been discharged from the hospital and 47 others have died since the outbreak of the novel virus in the region.
