ERBIL — Two other people infected with the new coronavirus died on Thursday, raising the death toll to 16, said Kurdistan Region Health Ministry.

The two men were from Sulaymaniyah, and they were taken to intensive care department at the hospital.

The ministry also confirmed, in a separate statement, that five more people had tested positive for COVID-19 in Raparin, Sulaymaniyah province.

According to the updated official records, the total number of coronavirus cases detected in Kurdistan has now reached 910, including 441 recoveries and 452 active cases.
